Living well on a limited income
Welcome, Ahh you are saying to yourself, "Self" another website dedicated to couponing. Is this another one of those Extreme Couponers who tell you how you can save 98% by buying 100 Razors and 200 packs of gum.
Well "Self" just to assure you I am not one of "Those People". I want to share with you REALISTIC savings. How you can save 40% to 60% on your shopping trip.
I am a laid off blue collar Guy, and in my 50's. My wife and I, had to make, serious adjustments in the way we did things. I had to learn how to live on one income instead of two incomes, with mine being the one income that disappeared. What do we do now! I have not been rich, but have lived comfortable, able to buy the things we needed, knowing I would have the funds to be able to pay for them. My world changed, in the blink of an eye, so I had to make serious adjustments.
I started challenging myself to save money on everyday necessities. As an early riser, I often go to the Grocery Stores early A.M., to avoid the long lines etc. On one trip I was brousing the meat isle for the evening meal. I noticed a sign that said bonus hours, took a peak and low and behold I found Ribeye Steaks for $2.49lb marked down from the night before. Huh 2 for $5 instead of 2 for $10. There were other meat items reduced by 50% these were quality items at half price. I avoided poultry, just because it spoils so rapidly. WOW a weeks worth of meat for only $25.00.
So started my adventure into "living well on a limited income". I thought how many others, are out there that have been dropped into this economic down turn, and are trying to survive. I am not saying you will eat steak everynight, but you can eat well and live a decent lifestyle on less money than you think you can. My purpose of this website is to share tips and tricks to help you be able to make it easier and less stressful financially.
