Catchy title Yah Think.
According to Reuters recent article;
Analysis: Retailers keep inventories low for back-to-school sales
{While the U.S. economy has recovered modestly since the financial crisis, median household income is still below where it was before the 2007-2009 recession began, a recent report
from Sentier Research showed.
Better inventory tracking tools also enable retailers to wait longer
than usual to place back-to-school orders. That could mean higher profit margins
in the back half of the year as retailers will likely not have to offer as many
discounts to get rid of excess inventory. But they also risk not having enough
stock if consumers spend more than anticipated.} (For a article, click (http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/07/14/us-usa-backtoschool-orders-analysis-idUSBRE96D0AR20130714)
Pretty depressing stuff. Bottom line if your kids need it you will find a way to buy it.
For the coupon savvy person, this just means we have another challenge. Please Challenge us more, we love it.
So how many of us have saved enough money..... Never.... that is the coupon savvy person's "Golden Rule". I can guarantee that Target, Walmart etc. are not going to run out of product. That is the oldest trick in the book. Smaller amounts just means that your child will maybe not have the exact new "Something" that every kid in the school has, what is so bad about that. Ask your child, they will be devastated. So what we are seeing is a marketing strategy, to get you in the store, using your child to bring you there. They gotta have it!!!!! Just like that Christmas doll they Gotta have it!!!! You spend hours trying to find it!!! And now they have it, in three weeks, it goes to Goodwill or your local Charity.
How to buy and save and still send your kid to school with what they "Gotta Have".
Before you go to Target and Walmart to buy that new something they have to have, look for some of the items on back to school list at:
Dollar Tree
Local Charity, Goodwill, Salvation Army stores.
Crayons if made by Crayola or made with off brand name are still crayons. Storage boxes, containers, locker shelves etc., whether bought at Walmart or Target are the same at Dollar Tree just the price of the items. Now with your savings, you can go and get that "Gotta Have!!!." new shoes, clothes with your savings.
Get your pencil out and do the math.
So where is the Back to School Christmas Presents you say. Well let's see there are items that are pretty good sales during Back to School. Take advantage of the sales on these items, Guess what kids go back to School in January also: are there any Back to School Sale's no. These items can be either stock piled and used during the year, or they can be used as the "Stocking Stuffer" "Give to your Teacher, for that child that is really in need as their parents only have just enough to feed their children. Who knows better than the TEACHER.
Here are the ideas, now it is just up to you and the "coupon savvy person" you are already so good at.
